What is Semax?
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the N-terminal fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH 4-10), developed at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
Unlike ACTH itself, Semax has no hormonal (steroidogenic) activity. Its interest is purely neurotropic — it is one of the most-studied nootropic peptides in the Russian pharmacological literature, with a broad profile covering memory, focus, and neuroprotection.
