What is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide developed at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences as a longer-lasting analog of the natural immunomodulatory tetrapeptide tuftsin.
It has been studied since the 1990s for anxiolytic and nootropic activity, and is one of the few peptides that appears to produce a calm-yet-alert state — without the sedation, tolerance or dependence liability of benzodiazepines.
